The Accountant I position will support the CFO in ensuring that all aspects of the financials for Talley Construction, TJ Hunt Trucking, and Retro Industries are completed in a timely manner.  Flexibility, ability to work independently, great attention to detail, analytical ability, dedication, and strong teamwork skills are a must.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for various duties in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to the Company’s financial statements, including daily bank transactions.
• Maintain fixed assets in Sage/FAS for multiple companies.
• Filing monthly sales tax return
• Work in a team environment to complete month-end closing process and other projects as needed.
• Serve as back-up and support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll, as needed
• Willingness to be flexible in duties and have a “get-it-done” attitude, including extended hours when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting with minimum 3-5 years’ general accounting experience.
• CPA preferred
• Will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work effectively with all divisions with limited supervision
• Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Excellent typing/data entry skills, 10-key by touch
• VISTA by Viewpoint experience a plus
• Construction and trucking/logistics experience a plus
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Must pass post offer drug screen.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the US.
